Australia uses a size range
Australian passport photos must be 35–40 mm wide and 45–50 mm high. The face from chin to crown must measure 32–36 mm. This browser reference uses the 35×45 mm lower edge of the permitted outer range; it does not represent every valid printed size.
Capture and print requirements matter
The Australian Passport Office recommends an experienced professional provider. It specifies good-quality colour prints produced using dye sublimation on heavy-weight glossy paper and does not accept retouching that changes the applicant’s likeness.
Reference use only
Use the crop to understand aspect ratio and framing. Do not assume a browser-generated file or home inkjet print satisfies the Australian print standard.
