35×45 mm Passport Photo Maker

Crop a 35:45 portrait photo, download the single image, or arrange copies on a 300 DPI 4×6 sheet without sending your photo to a server.

35×45 mm is not one universal rule. Select the actual document type and verify its authority.

Choose the document, not just the outer size

This page starts with the UK printed-passport preset. The selector also includes a Schengen visa preset because both commonly use a 35×45 mm outer crop. Their composition, background, submission and authority rules are not interchangeable.

UK printed passport photos

For a UK paper application, the printed photo is 45 mm high and 35 mm wide, and the head height is specified separately. Online applications use a digital-photo process instead of asking you to pre-crop a 35×45 mm file. Read the current GOV.UK printed photo rules.

A careful workflow

  1. Choose UK Passport Print or Schengen Visa in the specification selector.
  2. Open the official source and check the route you are actually using.
  3. Upload a suitable, unedited photo and adjust only position, crop and rotation.
  4. Generate the preview and inspect headroom, face visibility and background.
  5. Print only if the authority accepts your chosen print method.

Frequently asked questions

How many 35×45 photos fit on 4×6 paper?

The tool calculates the grid from the physical size and centers the copies on the sheet. The preview summary shows the result.

Can I use this for every European passport?

No. Similar-looking formats can have different head-size, background, capture and submission rules. Use the receiving authority as the final source.

Does the oval guarantee the head measurement?

No. It is only a positioning guide; it is not biometric measurement or acceptance checking.
